Luiza & Pedro began their journey as they taught together at a music institute in India. The singer Luiza Sales and the pianist Pedro Carneiro Silva began to rehearse and present their compositions in India and when they returned to Brazil, recorded and released their first CD, with 8 new songs, "Versos do Capitão" (2017). In 2018 they returned to India, where they began a tour of 4 months with more than 30 concerts that followed still to 6 countries of Europe.

Back in Brazil, they recorded the "Gostaria te Encontra" EP, which brings together 3 tracks by Luiza & Pedro and adds to the repertoire for the first time 2 compositions by other artists: Paulo Malaguti and Luiza Brina (from the band Graveola). The EP's songs have been worked on throughout the tour and are heavily influenced by the music from around the world that the musicians have heard on their travels. Besides the two tracks in English, the project brings through the arrangements a sonority connected with international influences like Jorge Drexler and Lianne Lahavas. Another highlight in the EP is the search for several possible sonorities for the duo format, with Luiza taking turns in the voice, guitar and in the viola de arco and Pedro trying new timbres on the keyboard. Each track has a special personality telling stories about different encounters, with others or with yourself.
